Dan Rosser – Principal 

Dan Rosser – PrincipalDan Rosser joined Northampton Free School Trust as Principal in January 2016.

Dan graduated from Lancaster University with a BA (Hons) in Geography & Youth Studies. He then completed his PGCSE at Roehampton before studying for his Master’s in Education at Brunel University. In 2007 he completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship. During his eleven years as a senior leader in three ‘Outstanding’ schools, Dan has taken on a number of significant key leadership roles.

In his most recent role as Executive Principal, he had been responsible for leading the pre-opening, opening and establishment of two new free schools. Under his leadership, in February 2014 the first of these two schools was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted.

During his time in education, Dan has worked closely with a range of stakeholders including learners, parents, Local Governing Bodies,  Academy Trusts, the Department for Education and feeder schools. He has also worked closely with the DfE and acted as an educational advisor to the Duke of York.

Dan has also been involved in various educational media projects including TV work for Panorama, BBC Breakfast and The Guardian.

Jane Page – Vice Principal

Jane Page – Vice PrincipalJane Page will join Northampton Free School Trust as Vice Principal from September 2016.

Jane graduated from Brunel University with a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education. Since graduation Jane has worked in the primary phase of education and has experience of growing schools both in capacity and capability. Jane has spent 15 years working in education, 10 years of which she has spent as a Deputy Head.

Jane’s extensive primary knowledge has spanned delivering high-quality teaching across all age ranges as well as a significant amount of senior leadership roles, including headship of a large primary school on two separate occasions when significant and accelerated improvements were required to performance.

Jane’s relationships with stakeholders includes actively engaging with learning partners, local authority senior leaders as well as governing bodies and various educational consultants specialising in primary education. She is a Safeguarding Designated Officer.

“I feel honoured to be taking on the role of Vice Principal at Northampton Free School Trust. I am delighted to be part of this exciting opportunity and I am dedicated to ensuring all our learners achieve, and enjoy their education.”


Tim Clarke – Assistant Principal (Science Lead)

Tim Clarke – Assistant Principal – Science : Year 7 LeadeTim will join Northampton Free School Trust in September 2016 as Assistant Principal (Y6-8 and Science Lead). He has a BSC Honours degree in Biological Science as well as a PGCE in Secondary Science Education with Qualified Teacher Status.

Tim has worked within two Northampton Secondary schools in his career as Science teacher and for the last 12 years has worked at Northampton School for Boys, where he is a Year Team Leader & Year 7 Transition Lead. He is also a Designated Safeguarding Lead and school E-safety Officer.

He has also worked as a Teacher Trainer for a number of years and helped many outstanding teachers take their first steps in a career in teaching.

Having met a number of learners and their parents, I am thrilled to be working with them to bring a real sense of community to the school. I hope that the learners attending the school will be as eager and enthusiastic as I am!”


Jenn Watts – Assistant Principal (Ex. Arts Lead)

Jenn Watts – Assistant Principal – Expressive ArtsJenn has 11 years teaching experience in an ‘Outstanding’ school and has been recognised by Ofsted as an ‘outstanding classroom practitioner’. She joins Wootton Park in September 2016 as Assistant Principal (Ex. Arts Lead).

Since graduating with a 2:1 Fine Art degree, Jenn has obtained Qualified Teacher Status, an MSC in Educational Leadership and National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders. Jenn also held the position of Progress Leader for KS4 at Brooke Weston Academy.

“I am thrilled to be involved with developing this new and unique learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity for the learners and teachers alike, and we are very eager to begin.”


Kayleigh Anger – Assistant Principal EYFS

Kayleigh Anger – Assistant Principal – EYFSKayleigh will join Northampton Free School Trust in September 2016 as Assistant Principal EYFS.

Kayleigh has a BA Honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status. She has five years experience as a senior leader in a large primary school, with 420 learners. Kayleigh is an Early Years Phase Leader and has completed the Paediatric First Aid training course. She is recognised as an ‘outstanding classroom practioner’ by Ofsted.

“I feel incredibly excited to be part of 
this fantastic opportunity. My passion is to create an exciting and stimulating
learning environment where all children can achieve their full potential. I
cannot wait to see Wootton Park grow into a truly outstanding school for all.”


Geoff Treadgold – Leader of Maths

Geoff Treadgold
Geoff will be joining Northampton Free School Trust in September as Leader of Maths. With 13 years’ teaching experience, he is currently working as an Assistant Director for Learning and Lead practitioner for Maths.

Geoff graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Management and Manufacturing Systems and has Qualified Teacher Status. He has gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with numeracy specialism and is a Whole School Numeracy Co-ordinator.

“I feel privileged to be starting with Northampton Free School Trust this September. The prospect of working with students for the full duration of their Key Stages 1-5 education at an all-through school is truly exciting. This will allow our staff the opportunity to understand the specific needs of each of our learners, and thus provide a tailored learning experience for all of them.”


Richard Scott
 – Leader of Languages

Richard Scott – Leader of Modern Foreign LanguagesRichard is currently second in Languages at Wootton Park’s partner school, Caroline Chisholm. He will work in partnership with Wootton Park from September 2016, providing the benefit of support from Caroline Chisolm’s large exceptional department and resources.

Claire Woodbridge – SENCO

Claire Woodbridge

Claire will be joining Northampton Free School Trust as SENCO in September. She has over 10 years’ experience as the Head of Learning Development department and SENDCO in an ‘Outstanding’ school.

Claire has a BA Honours Combined Studies degree in History, Geography and English. She has a PGCE in History and has Qualified Teacher Status. Claire is currently responsible for whole school provision for SEND students.

“I am delighted to be joining the team at Northampton Free School Trust. It will be a privilege to see our students develop and progress through the different stages of their learning and I am committed to ensuring that they are given the necessary opportunities, support and guidance to enable them to achieve their potential.”

Hannah Place – EYFS Teacher

Hannah Place – Teacher of EYFSHannah is an experienced EYFS teacher, currently working in an ‘Outstanding’ department. She joins Northampton Free School Trust in September 2016 as EYFS Teacher.

Hannah has a 2:1 BA degree in Primary Education and has Qualified Teacher Status. In her current role, she is subject leader for the reading and writing programme. Hannah also has a great passion for Drama!

“I am so excited to be part of the Wootton Park team and contribute to making it an outstanding and enjoyable setting for children to learn. I feel privileged to be part of it from the beginning and cannot wait to welcome the children in September.”

 

Alex Carter – Humanities Teacher

Alex Carter – Leader of HumanitiesAlex joins Northampton Free School Trust as Humanities Teacher in September 2016.

Having gained a 2:1 BSC degree in Geography, Alex went on to gain Qualified Teacher Status from Oxford University. She is an experienced teacher, working in a ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ school with outstanding GCSE results.

In her spare time, Alex is interested in sport, both playing and supporting local teams.

“I am exceptionally excited to be a part of the Wootton Park adventure from the first chapter. I look forward to helping to create a happy, successful and positive learning environment for all students, parents and staff.” 

 

Sheryl Arnold – English Teacher

Sheryl is former Head of Year and English teacher at Caroline Chisholm School and joins Wootton Park as English Teacher in September 2016.

With a 2:1 BA (Hons) English degree, Sheryl also has Qualified Teacher Status and is an experienced Safeguard Lead. She has a great deal of experience teaching English from Year 7 to post 16.

Hollie Cowell – PE Teacher

Hollie joins Northampton Free School Trust as PE Teacher in September 2016. She is a recently qualified teacher with a First Class Honours BSc degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences and has also gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Physical Education (PGDipEd; QTS).

Hollie has previously worked as a Summer Activity Leader and an Assistant Gymnastics Coach.

“I am extremely excited to contribute to the development of successful Physical Education at Northampton Free School Trust, where everyone will be encouraged to participate to the best of their ability. Pupils will be given the opportunity to continue their success in extracurricular activities, proud to represent their school in team fixtures and intra-school competition. I look forward to meeting you all in September!”


Claire Carter – Business Manager

Claire Carter - School Business ManagerClaire Carter  joins Northampton Free School Trust as our Business Manager in July 2016.

Claire has 19 years experience working in schools. She has a Certificate in School Business Management and is Prince 2 Qualified.

Claire’s previous post was as Business Manager and Finance Director in an ‘Outstanding’ School.

“I am very excited to be joining Northampton Free School Trust.  I am particularly looking forward to the new challenges that this role will bring including the oversight and construction of our brand new state-of-the-art school over the next two years.
