The Department for Education has announced that Northampton Free School Trust’s application to open Wootton Park School (Hardingstone) has been given the go-ahead to progress to the ‘pre-opening phase’ in this wave of free schools.
This new 11-16 secondary free school will follow the highly successful model established by the all-through Wootton Park School at nearby Wootton Hall Park which opened in September 2016 and was graded ‘Outstanding’ in all inspection categories by Ofsted in July 2019.
The school will help meet the significant and growing need for high-quality secondary places and will also increase parental choice and diversity of local secondary provision in this area of Northampton.
